Emilie Aubry is a French, queer film editor and partner at Church Edit. She has collaborated with renowned directors, music artists, and global brands. Her work is driven by rhythm, emotion, and restraint, and is marked by a stripped-down visual language that feels clean yet subtly provocative. We designed a website that gives her work space to speak for itself, adding only what is necessary to give it character.

The art direction is inspired by Emilie’s visual language. It mirrors the balance she achieves between clarity and provocation, pairing minimal design with small experimental moments that reward attention.

Typography appears simple, but its selection is shaped through deep exploration.

Carefully crafted micro interactions introduce moments of interest throughout an otherwise simple structure. These small, experimental details give the site character and rhythm, adding subtle delight while staying strictly minimal.
