Motion, Website

Studio Size designed the promotional graphics, motion, and microsite for Exat, a typeface by Hot Type inspired by the modernist legacy of EXAT 51. Through posters, animations, and kinetic typography, we pushed the typeface to its limits, exploring its structural clarity and versatility. The art direction reflects the mid-century aesthetics imprinted in the typeface itself, balancing precision with expression. A dedicated microsite brings everything together, offering an immersive experience that highlights Exat’s strength, adaptability, and design ethos.

By stretching Exat across mediums, we pushed its design to new creative extremes.

The project channels the modernist ambitions of EXAT 51, a pioneering Croatian avant-garde group, and the New Tendencies movement, which redefined art and design through abstraction and technology—merging precision with radical creativity.

Motion design

Modernist designs suggest movement through geometry, rhythm, and visual tension. Using today’s technology and kinetic typography, we transformed that potential into dynamic, living motion.

Design legacy

This project honors one of the most significant design and artistic movements in our country’s history. EXAT 51 and New Tendencies were not just local phenomena, they were part of a global conversation that challenged conventions and redefined modern visual culture.
